Why do you work in this field?
It brings me joy and gives me purpose being able to feed others’ souls. Being familiar with the hardships life throws at you gives greater meaning to being able to make another day a little brighter as well.
How long have you worked in this field?
I worked 6 years straight out of high school doing in-home care, then switched to solely food work in 2012 (7 years culinary).
What do you bring to the table?
A good attitude! I try my best every day to be positive, dedicated, helpful and overall just a great addition to anyone’s space I’m put in.
What are your ‘Super Powers’?
Being resourceful, finding light in the darkest of things
What do you love about yourself?
My optimism, down to earthness. My ability to be human and accept both my flaws and my gifts humbly, and do the same with others.
What words best describe you?
Intense, earthy, nomadic soulful, natural, unique.
Positive things you like to do?
Learn new things, meditate, make people smile.
What do you like best about your job?
Being able to give health and fullness to those who haven’t been able to have that due to struggles they are now overcoming.
What’s the greatest thing you ever did?
Personally, I’d say opening my mind to the international world. Travelling has given me a completely new perspective on life - our roots, our purpose. It’s helped me to see that if need to help “we.”
Who are your ‘mentors’?
All who have suffered and overcome, strong women and food network stars.
What is something you think everybody deserves to have?
Peace of mind. Life beyond the day-to-day living we do so passionlessly.
